I’ve owned this set up for a little over a month and used it in Montana for a hunt this year. Tent did really well, just wanting to transition to a smaller backpacking tent.
The stove and the tent kept me warm and dry on 19 degree nights.
I don’t have pictures of it set up but I can set it...
My plan is to wait it out and see what happens with prices after the chip shortage. I feel the prices should come down when the market is flooded with “New” older model vehicles.
I’m also waiting on prices for the 2022 Tundra
what a drive! I need to get me a Leer top so I can pull over and sleep in the back on long drives. I’ll be making about the same from Louisiana to Montana!
good luck
I’m doing my first DIY elk hunt this year. Never been on a guided hunt before. I would love to, but I can’t afford one for a while. If you want your friends to commit, do DIY.
I have a friend coming with me who has never been hunting at all before. But it’s costing him no money, so he’s interested.
Awesome, thank you! I dropped the money on a nice tent so that’s my plan as of now, but if I freeze one night I’ll definitely take you up on that.
I have what I think is a decent game plan for the hunt, I’ll PM you and see what you think if you’d like
how do I get in contact for the block management? Apologies if it’s a dumb question, just unfamiliar with Montana and don’t see any info about it through OnX.
edit: awesome, looks like I can just show up and hunt, since they are type 1. I’ll contact FWP to verify. Thank you, that will help me a lot
haha awesome! I’ve found a spot I’m going to try to hunt. Mostly BLM land is what I’ve looked at, I’m confused on it State owned land can be hunted. Going to contact FWP and verify
