I’m not sure what else a person would call it? Helicopter based hunt maybe? They are illegal in Alaska for a reason. The ability to land just about anywhere is a game changer. I’d love to hunt over there since it’s some wild country with so few hunters.
It will take quite a few years of good winters to turn it around much at this point. This year we hunted one of the areas that allegedly wasn’t hit very hard and we saw more 7 plus year old rams than we did lambs. The next year or two won’t be too bad but after that it looks pretty bleak.
