    If I ever move back east and hunt the tickets I grew up hunting I think I'd go with a 6.8spc. I used one of those a lot when I was younger and it left a better blood trail.

    It's not the best picture but I shot this WT in 24 with a 73eldm. The shot was about 350yards. The bullet passed through. Not much of a blood trail but he didn't go far enough to need it. I'd do it again and use it on bigger critters.

    I've never owned one but pig hunted in Texas 20 or so years ago with one... I went home one weekend with an Army buddy and that's what his dad let me to use. They are neat rifles for sure.

    Outfitting on Public lands

    I worked with outfitters on FS for awhile, they don't pay a lot to the FS but they did a heck of a lot of trail work... Some areas get pretty locked in with dead fall over winter in burns or beetle kill.
