10lb rifle for elk hunting
I can say this. You will shoot better with a heavier rifle. I have found that a few times before that if you're moving around and have to take a shot, sometimes it can be hard to get yourself to settle into the rifle for the shot. Take it to the range and see how you like it. One thing I can tell you is a 300 WBY is about as good as it gets for big game hunting and is one damn fine round. I definitely wouldn't be selling it! Centerfire rifles - your path
I don't use many different calibers.
