I don't have any info on PTG but I do have a LH Stiller Predator as well as a couple of Origins. I would place the stiller and origin as close in performance although the origins are smoother. The origin is more flexible with the ability to change bolt faces. If your are looking to go the...
L8ke said above Armageddon shmedium light fill is great and weighs nothing. Argali game bag kit works well add no extra weight or space to your pack.
In a pinch a bino harness and a couple of choppers work.
I have 2 Scythe ti and a DA nomad Lti xc. The Lti is super quiet but kinda long for hunting. I have well over 1000 rounds on one of the scythes including 150 or so with a 300wsm with 0 issues. The other one is on my shorty tikka 708 that my wife keeps stealing because it is such a joy to...
You won't be able to thread a stock tikka to 5/8 24. You will have to go to 1/2 28. You will need to time a brake if it is directional. This can be done by the smith threading the barrell or with shims. I would just cut the barrell to 20", thread it, and get a suppressor. I have a 708 tikka...
Okie,
I have seen the ones you are referring too. I looked at them when I put mine in. I was worried about how it would fold into the tent and if it would wear a hole in the tent. I went with a traditional one like Gellar referenced above. Pretty much every wall tent manufacturer uses that...
I have done 4 in a 12x14 many times. It is tight and I had a 12 x 10 covered porch. My 14x16 is better but still a little tight. Get a 10' awning and the sidewalls and the 14x15 would be doable. 14x18 would be better. Davis is good stuff.
I have a Scythe TI. I have put about 100 rounds of my 300wsm through it and 600 or so with a 6.5 cm. It comes with the single port brake and does provide good recoil reduction. My 300wsm is just over 8 pounds with the scope and recoil is roughly like an unbraked 708.
I have a couple of Manners EH2s and a Pro hunter. I also have a couple of McMillan game wardens. Take a look at a manners EH3. It might fit what you are looking for.
