Upgrading scopes on two model 70 featherweights; What would you do?
I would upgrade the 308. Not sure where you are hunting but a 3x9x40 won’t help you much past 150yds. -

Asking for the data needs to including asking for how the data was collected. Details. Vague data is useless. Poor data collection/extrapolation is abhorrent. -

Montana mule deer rant
Unfortunately most game management is reactive instead of proactive. Is Montana led by an elected commission like many other game agencies? In my experience, the commission can have a lot (too much) say in game management. -
