CBA is asking for your help
Maybe it has nothing to do with the OTC rifle hunter numbers, or elk, or hunting at all, the appointed powers-that-be are likely more concerned about inconveniencing non-hunters that use the woods when the weather is nice than giving a hoot about archery hunters. -

I know it would be poor management - it was absurd on its face, that wasn't my point. There is plenty of hunting opportunity for residents and non-residents, just not trophy opportunities. This is all about horns not hunting.- Buffs35

Very interesting. Difficult to see how herd numbers will bounce back when all western states are experiencing increase in resident populations - that puts pressure on the resource, even if those new residents aren't hunters.
