They seem solid from your photos, but I'm not sure if she has any of her saddles ready to go. I'd like to get them packing sooner than later, so I might consider just getting whatever I can. We'll have two llamas and I'm not opposed to having two different saddle setups for each of our girls...

I should clarify... lots of people hunt it hard. I have never personally had a tag there, but I know that it gets plenty of traffic. Like any unit though, a giant walks in front of someone every now and then. I just wouldn't hunt that area expecting it.
I tried to be a bit illusive in my post to protect my embarrassment, but unfortunately no. No elk were harmed in the making of my adventure to 417. There were a few around, but they were pretty savvy, and ultimately I never connected with what I was looking for.
