I’ve experienced the same thing up here in northern Idaho, no temperature issue at all. Actually after 35 years of shooting several 270 I’ve had to rethink, 270’s ether love 130’s or love 150’s but they don’t generally love them both. With this powder and the heavier bullet it works wonders.
That’s interesting… I had no pressure problems working my load up to the maximum load data that Alliant recommended for the 150 gr. I did notice that there was no RL 26 data listed for 130 gr. Bullets. Maybe that where pressures surface on the .270
A friend of mine over in Cody, WY turned me on to RL 26 two years ago. It’s not only incredible M.V. for my 150 gr NALR, 3027 fps, but the groups are near mythical!
