As many have said. Two of the best in that price range are the tikka and the bergara. I have both. Like both. I prefer the stock and trigger on the bergara and the action of the tikka…. Both shoot better than I can. Savage 110 has some good offerings below that price point as well! Good luck!
That’s where I am leaning. She shoots my 223 lights out and we have used it for deer under 100yds successfully. But I want something with minimal recoil that will get us closer to 200-250 yards. Think I going to grab a Grendel in a howa mini ! Thanks!
I know this is an old thread. But I’m curious what the OP ended up doing?I have a 12 year old daughter hunting whitetail for the first time this year and I am back and forth between the 6.5 Grendel and .243.
Main purpose would be whitetail hunting and just a fun gun to shoot at the range. I already own a 7mm-08 and 6.5 in another platform.... But I suppose one can never have too many of one cartridge...
My local Sportmans Warehouse has a really nice deal on a Howa Kuiu in 7mm-08. Does anyone have experience with the kuiu? How does it compare to the 1500? Also, should I stick with the 7mm-08? They can also order one in 6.5 creedmoor or .308... Thanks In advance
