    wish I was local and would grab a freezer from my garage. I am flying in, renting a vehicle, and buying some coolers at Home Depot or Lowes, then driving home.. hopefully with something.

    Yea I was able to get a Canadian Maine moose, in 3 100 quarts. And 1 50. I ChatGPT how many coolers for 2 elk. It said 6-8.

    for the 7 mm / prc, or 300 win / prc/ WSM the new tikka has the 22" barrel. realistically for a hunting distance does it make a difference, if im not using a suppressor ?

    Yea I like my -06. But my I am going with a buddy who doesn’t have a rifle, and maybe looking for an excuse to get a rifle I can lend him as my western rifle. It’s not like I am saying I’ll even see a NM elk to even have a shot. But still

    Alaska moose hunting must be epic. I have a Maine moose under my belt. Maybe lucky enough to have another tag somewhere on day.

    I also am in search of a rifle.. not sure if I need one. have a tikka 30-06, good enough to take down a Maine moose. now I got a tag in NM for elk. do I even need a 7mm / PRC, BC, 300 WIN, PRC, WSM?

    How does the DAV draw work? just got rated this year... asking for next year. Idaho designated certain number of tags per unit, and you apply for the DAV, and the regular draw ?

    I’m outside nyc. It was about a 12 hour drive to the logging roads. Border of Canada / Maine. Cut up the meat with a buddy.
