I had him a chest pack with a pair of Swarovkis in it, but he didn't like them so in the truck they stayed. I get the dangers of glassing through a riflescope, but the reality was I had already checked the canyon for people and just had him glassing for elk in the shadows.
Rather than type a few paragraphs I put together a video. I think this is helpful for the beginner and even those who may have flown out a few times. Not sure it'll offer much to those who drive out for a hunt.
I'm wondering if the Winter kill was maybe a little higher than anticipated. I can see elk not bugling, but when I'm not cutting tracks in the snow it's pretty telling.
Okay, here are my top 10 gear items under $20. What am I leaving out? I always like to reassess my gear. I've simplified some items over the years.

We were just in Playa Del Carmen back in April. I charter fish wherever I go, however I intentionally held off here as the fishing is not that good. I considered it as I was able to find 1/2 day trips for ~ $3-400, but that's a lot to maybe catch a dolphin or barracuda.
