Idaho NR vs. Outfitter tag allocations

Agreed, however 40% or more of the limited tags going to the outfitters is ridiculous. In addition, the outfitters can also have hunters that have drawn reach out to them.

Idaho NR vs. Outfitter tag allocations

My friend brought it to my attention some of the number of tag allocations for certain units seemed quite in favor of outfitters compared to NR tags. For instance, in the Pioneer zone for A tags there are 155 NR tags and 145 outfitter tags. Middle Fork has 174 vs. 209. How and when did this...

    It was a great October!

I was able to get my number one hitlist buck. Nothing giant, but I had a great time.

    Big Red

Hooked into this guy fishing the shallows of the Chesapeake. My son was totally pumped.

Airline Travel for Hunt Gear, Meat

I made this video a while back so hopefully you'll find it helpful. Some of the aspects have changed (like the SW baggage fees).

I'll let the video tell the story rather than typing out an essay.

    Idaho Nonresident Draw!

THIS is a huge deal for me. I was all for the draw, BUT not having to spend $185 first. We never had to do this in the past. What the hell am I going to do with a $185 NR license after I don't draw? I was hoping this wouldn't turn into New Mex, but I guess it did.

AZ is starting to hit cards for the draw.

Was excited to see the charge on the card yesterday. Now to figure out if it is my son or I who drew.

    My son's AZ elk hunt

I had him a chest pack with a pair of Swarovkis in it, but he didn't like them so in the truck they stayed. I get the dangers of glassing through a riflescope, but the reality was I had already checked the canyon for people and just had him glassing for elk in the shadows.

    My son's AZ elk hunt

Thanks. I figured how low the elk densities are there shouldn't be too many people fighting to get to that spot.

Here's a video of my son's AZ elk hunt. Lots of lessons learned for both him and I.

Flying out for an elk hunt

Thanks, I'll have to look into that. I have had meet frozen and vacuum-packed and thought to myself what if this was just cooled and vacuum-packed?
