In 1992 I helped friend Paul get this nice Bighorn Ram in the Sun River country of Montana.
Here I am showing off Paul's ram. Check out the drop on these horns. I think the long one was close to 38" broomed.
My best Bighorn which I passed on the first time I saw him. After making a couple of trips into this Sun River country and looking over 40 rams or so

I spent some time in camp the day after I got the ram to rest up for the trip out and to fully cape the head and trim the skull to keep the weight dow
Showing off horns from my 8 1/2-year old ram which grossed 174+". The hillside I got him on in the background.
Packed up and heading out! Pack plus rifle 92-pounds. Truck 12-miles with two passes to cross. October 12,1988.
