    Sell or Send back first?

I have wanted a Tikka for a very long time, I was going to go with one in left hand 300 WSM (the T3X Lite Stainless actually) but got a good deal on the RH Savage M110 Long Range Hunter. Sadly they don’t make a left handed 300 WSM with a threaded barrel nor have they adopted 7 PRC yet even...

    Sell or Send back first?

I believe that is what I am going to do. I will try Kroil again then controlled heat to hopefully fix it. It’s a good shooting rifle with a variety of factory ammo (I haven’t reloaded much for it), but good luck finding 300 WSM on the shelf. Thankfully I can reload and have a decent amount of...

Left hand Ruger stainless Hawkeye.300 Win Mag.

I wish that I had the extra money 💵 laying around to buy such a beautiful rifle. I remember looking at a regular Woodstock version in 7 REM Mag 15 years ago but passed on it.

We used Kroil but we didn’t try it in that manner. Might have to try that before the torch or I could sell it as is.

    Sell or Send back first?

That’s definitely a good idea as well especially since tags 🏷️, licenses and ammo are not cheap. I applied for a muzzleloader hunt in Utah that I should draw so I won’t need the rifle for at least a year.

    Sell or Send back first?

No I have not yet tried that one. Thanks for the suggestion

    Sell or Send back first?

I could try that again we did soak it with a carbon buster before for hours and try and turn it. I didn’t figure they would send me a new rifle and that was just a dream 💭. Depending upon if I were going to go with a different cartridge or not I also would sell the reloading supplies and ammo...

    Sell or Send back first?

Nope sadly not. With being a newly married man and a recent (Sept 23) home owner amongst other things I haven’t gotten around to either trying round two of trying to get that brake off, have a gunsmith do it or even chop and rethreaded, or sent back to Savage, or sold and use that money 💰 for a...

    Sell or Send back first?

I don’t dislike Savage at all even though my A17 is a single shot instead of a semi automatic, even after getting a new mag, cleaning it and using the appropriate ammo. There’s two lefties in Savage that I would like. That being the Timberline or Ultralight. I just wanted to try something...

    Sell or Send back first?

I have cleaned out the barrel but not the brake specifically. We did try to use a carbon buster and let it soak for a long time and turn it with no luck 🍀.

    Sell or Send back first?

I have a Savage Model 110 Long Range Hunter in 300 WSM that I bought new in 2019 mostly as a compliment to my late 90s Savage M110 270 Win LH wood 🪵 stock rifle. Something that I could use out west with confidence on any of the species from moose 🫎 if I could ever afford to apply and get lucky...

Going to try this again, but much earlier in the process. A Wyoming NR pronghorn and mule deer combo hunt.

Thanks I will definitely have to check that out. Thanks for the reminder on that. I have thought of that as well to make it more worth the drive out there for the amount of meat I can potentially bring home vs the fuel cost to get out there among other costs. A non resident doe antelope tag is...

I understand the pitfalls of having two tags for different species, especially those that usually different environments. It will depend upon how much time off I can muster to be able to go 21+ hours west. If I have a full 10 days I believe I can find a decent pronghorn buck in the first couple...

Yeah I would probably have to actually go into November for that. October is pre rut. What you mentioned is what I have been thinking of doing actually. I know that I can find a decent pronghorn buck in a day or two as long as I don't have any issues travelling around the unit and getting...

Sounds like a good plan, I don't need the famed high country mule deer experience to be satisfied on my first hunt in Wyoming. So any low or open country bucks that are so 130 or better are on my list.
