FWIW- As a recreational user of this area - it’s actually being trashed by vagrants than by consumptive users like ourselves. I’ve never seen any of the recreational shooting trash you speak of in most of Colorado; let alone the Front Range.

Tracks are just as expensive as a used sled; they also take up space.
I have a UTV and ATV; I bought a sled as well. Economics and complexity of tracks didn’t make sense to me.
I predominantly do Nordic ski-joring with my dogs; our house is ski in/ski out to the local downhill ski area; but I find that boring. Occasionally I’ll A/T up the hill with the dogs.
Love watching the groomers running at night and summer concerts during the summer.
