Hit the high country this weekend and things were still 85%+ iced up, but the edges were open. Took some work on the technique, as the fish were deeper and not cruising the edges. Slow presentation was the ticket to a bunch of rainbows and tiger trout. It's just going to keep getting better.
Looking forward to some high mountain fishing in the coming weeks. Did get out Friday to a place known for good cutts and rainbows. Was pretty slow but decent quality.
Good for you. I wasn't complaining; it is what I was expecting. I am not too concerned about hunting Utah every year. There is a place I want to hunt, so I put in for that tag. I'll be hunting two other states this fall, so that's probably why I am not too concerned about it as well.

No luck for me, which is pretty much what I figured, based on the odds. Next year is looking better for a mediocre archery tag in a place I like to backpack and fish, but I'll also get to take my bow along for the ride.

Turkey showed up in my neighborhood this week. That's a first. Then, last night, it roosted in my backyard. Season is a few weeks away. It's like these birds are surveiling me, messing with my mind for doing the same to them. Well played, turkeys, well played...
