Neck shots.
That’s why I start with the neck shot. Hitting vertebrae c2 never disappoints. Sometimes c3 when it’s blowing a little. Hit my antilope there at 577. Drops like a stone. Takes some practice to have the confidence though. I shoot a couple thousand rounds at all distances. Mainly 500 to 750. It... -

How close is too close?
The one I had tapping the walls of the tent was close. Another one went in the door of the wall tent that was the cook shack. He made a new door in the back.- Dan-06

Wyoming Elk Draw
Ya all this outta state points and draw drama. I’m waiting for the results for us local yocals. I’m in for the desert. -

Ya know we generally have more antilope than people in the state. Any area will do. I like hunting the red desert area. My girls and I take 2 days to get 3 goats. 1 usually measures around 80 inches. Plus watching the wild horses is perty kool -

How close to camp?
We camp for 8 days on the edge of a lake and have done so for 15 years in the same place. We have elk within a couple hundred yards bugling most nights. Perhaps we are too close because we actually have to wear earplugs some nights because the elk are so loud.
