Got a chance to listen with headphones at work today while doing some tedious follow up emails. My coworkers think I'm nuts since I burst out laughing several times. What a great podcast. Being married for 31 years, I completely relate to everything that was said.
If you are newly Married...
Good idea.
I'd be interested in a pre-season training video in general. How should a "flat lander" train effectively?
At 55 years old, this coming season will be my first "back country" archery mule deer hunt in the CA Sierra's. Hunt area will be around 7800 - 8400 ft. in elevation. I...
Practicing daily. When I can't get to the club range, I am shooting at least 40 arrows into my block target in the back yard.
My issue with my glasses is getting fogged up in cold weather. Anyone use those alleged "no fog" coatings and have success?
Well, thought I would add an update to this thread after about a month.
As I stated above, I was able to pick up a Diamond SB-1 locally for a excellent price. I also joined the local archery club so I could shoot regularly (those of you who are not on a small city lot, count your blessings)...

Any of those three 2x2's would have been tagged.
Joking aside, great to see the start of a great Archery hunt. Can't wait for Episode 2.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and...
While paying $1K + for a "guided" wolf watching expedition is well within their rights, those $ short of some local spending I assume benefit the guides. I'd be curious to know if anything goes to the actual benefit of the wolves and/or management.
The piece was not as one sided as I...
Agree 100%. Randy's level headed approach, critical thinking ability and disarming demeanor is why he will do well in this 60 Minutes piece. Regardless of how they may "spin" it, Randy's public positions on this and many conservation issues are very easy to find on "Al Gore's" internet. That...
I can't think of anyone better to speak about the issue from a conservation/hunting perspective. I hope your unquestionable "credentials" are made clear for the watching masses.
Just curious, was part of your "rider" a nice large DQ Blizzard?
Angering for sure. It's not isolated to any specific jurisdictions. I have a family member who was a F & G Warden here in CA many years ago. After multiple times seeing just this type of soft treatment he changed careers. He finally had enough when he worked for weeks making a case against 2...
