It's not a dream — it's the future. Replacements have gotten infinitely better and more younger people are needing them. I researched various options and decided on a model called the Verilast knee and tracked down the doctor who could do it. It's designed for active people, and they call it the...
I've had full replacements in both my knees, did them at 35 & 36 and now I'm 39. Mine were both in advanced stage osteoarthritis thanks to some malformities in the joints, 20 years of hardcore sports (soccer, lacrosse, horses, running), and Lyme's disease. I'll say this though, if your quality...
I've gone turkey hunting sporadically over the years but never took it seriously enough, mostly bc of getting Lyme's and really hating ticks after that episode of life.
But last week, the Hunt Talk team took a week to run around the turkey woods, and Marcus helped me by calling in this awesome...

I see myself using my last bit of duct tape as a firestarter, and then I get a blister ten miles back in the woods. But yeah it does work in a pinch! LOL
I will always carry a little extra weight for comfort. Sleep is at a premium in the woods, and better rested days afield are well worth it. I slept on a half pad for 150 miles on the CDT. Never again.
Nice! I've had a few bic failures but I still carry one. I wrap my duct tape around it so it can serve a purpose even if it cashes out. My backup has always been waterproof matches and those super light bagged firestarters that burn for 5 min.
