I want to look at a Suzuki when I worked at that resort in college they had Suzuki’s on a few of the boats and they would flat outrun the others even though they were the same hp. Yamaha and merc are the closest dealers to me by an hour so that adds into my decision.
Mine is a rebuilt Ficht 150. The lower unit is out of it. I was hoping to find a whole unit with a bad head for less than a grand and swap the lowers. But people are awfully proud of their crap motors. I’ll be better off to repower and I can redo the transom while the motor is off.
I’m in the market for a new motor too. I’m looking for a 135-150hp. Currently have a an Evinrude ( that meme hurts, @Keep on) but since they went out of business I’d like to repower to a different brand.
Tiller or steering wheel. If it’s a wheel you almost have to go with the same brand as the previous or you’ll need new linkage which will add a couple thousand.
I think adaptive equipment that can be used for multiple outdoor uses like the tracked wheelchairs will be much more successful than something that is only used for a very specific activity like an adaptive tree stand.
