    Family Hunt

This is a hunt that I've really learned to appreciate and look forward to every year. Much of the success of this hunt is due to my dad's love for the land and having the vision and patience to plant 8.5 miles of tree rows to preserve to soil, even though I was the one with a garden hoe and a...

Not sure why the recovery of a bullet would concern you when he went down like a ton of bricks. Very happy with the quick kill and would use the accubond again with confidence. I have to say I was surprised at how well the bullet stayed together with hitting the shoulder at or above 3000 fps...

Yeah they are the 130 hunting VLD I looked back and they weighted in at between 55-60 grains. I also recovered the bullet from my 2013 deer and if I remember correctly it is very close to the same, left it at the farm so dont have pictures.

I can't say I had any excessive damage. I did find the bullet under the off side hide on each animal but they went down quick. I don't remember off the top of my head what they weighted but below is a pic of the recovered bullets. one was around 80 yards and the other was from 275. I...

Any reason you are not excited about hunting with Bergers? Everything I 've sent them at ended up dead. Close and Far, under 100 yard to bumping up against 300 yards. I've used them for 2 seasons and so far very happy with them. These were shot with 130grain at 2960.

I've been shooting 130 Bergers out of mine. I believe it is a 8.5 twist at 2960.

That is probably because you were respectful of the people and landowners. Imagine that you don't think people are idiots and they open their property for you. Maybe a key element to being invited and allowed on farmers land, lesson to be learned for some. Might want to take notes Bob. By the...
