it will be 2025, my son is getting married and couldnt do it this year, however I was thinking of taking a summer vacation (being retired) and actually looking it over - I do alot of OnX searching and such - but there is always a big difference between looking on a phone and actually having boots on the ground. Im 54 and was wondering about walking distance, and is there access for side by side or just walking.
ATVs are not allowed except for 2 roads, lots of rules on the HMAs, no camping on any part if you cross private that's in the HMA. Can't access the HMA till season opens. I went out to scout and could not get on any of it. I should of ask the landowners they can allow access anytime. I did get permission from one of the landowners to camp on his property when I hunted.
Can I get maps of the HMA'S Onx shows the state and BLM land and the wyoming website shows the HMA's
Did you talk to many ranches ? were they approachable ?
