I prefer 10's or 12's on my chest, with a spotter in the pack if needed. Often find myself leaving the spotter behind or it rides in my pack all day. I personally would not bring two sets of bino's.
Do not bring your favorite pocket knife with you...It'll end up in the trash or you'll have to run it all the way back to your truck. Ask me how I know.
I'll be hauling around my 6.8 western with 175gr sierra handloads. 3rd season with it and its my go-to for pronghorn, mulies and elk. Great all around setup for me and the kids.
I've spent many of nights in my 04 Tundra. I lay down the backrest of my backseat which makes a flat platform to layout a foam beadroll. I'm 6', so I can't completely straighten out my legs which is the downside. Its really nice to turn over the truck and get some heat blasting when elk hunting...
