2024 Garden!

Frosted again last night. I can’t decide if I’m having a late start to the summer or if it’s normal for my area. Technically, the frost free date is the last of May. I think Global Warming got me used to hotter May temps.

We planted zucchini, jalapeño, Fresno chile, pablano chile, tomatoes, watermelon, cucumber and some basil this year. I’m hoping to be gone scouting this summer. I’ve never planted Fresno chiles before, we will see how we like them.

My little bee buddies are doing their thing on the raspberry and blackberry bushes. The apples, pears and peaches continue growing on the trees.
I need to get some weeding done in the garden and spray the fruit trees before we leave Saturday for Mexico. Always something to do in the yard this time of year.

I just transplanted my tomatoes yesterday. It’s going to be a bit before we have ‘Mater sammies.

Garden is doing well but my peppers have been in for weeks and it's like they're stunted they haven't hardly grown. Gonna have to add a healthy dose of pig shit this fall.

Not a garden but i planted 12 chestnut trees and they are doing great.
