Okay, it's just a hotdog. But it's on a fresh homemade roll and it has sautéed wild onions we just picked. Topped off with bell peppers and some cheese under the dog.
Carried spray for seven years. This year switched to a 10mm. Wind is one concern. Deploying spray in a tent is another, especially if said bear is not inside but on top tearing through it. I'm much faster drawing the gun and shooting than I am with spray, unless I'm holding the spray while...
Voting is one of the single most important things you can do for yourself, your family and future generations. I lived in massachusetts for 53 years. I'm a conservative. Voting was a waste of time. I still voted.
People way over think this. I buy them as an individual. The last one was a three day turnaround. Anybody can use it as long as I am with them. And I believe only the ATF can ask for any paperwork work from you. It's not like they are lying in the bushes everywhere waiting to check on you...
I find that a 10x42 on a tripod can pick off animals further than I'm willing to walk many times. The tripod is the secret sauce for great visibility. I watched a herd of elk last week feeding 2 plus miles away.
It's been posted here before by many. A 10x42 will do what you need it to do 95%...
I had a vortex diamondback lying around so that's what is getting used for now. Goes up to 13x I believe, more than I need right now. For field use it's actually perfect.
I will keep an eye out for a scope I can dial but won't break the bank. Then it will truly function like my hunting rifle.
I just got a tikka t1x over the weekend. And picked up my silencer for it this afternoon. Went straight to the fields for some gophers. Out to 75 yards shots were deadly.
Just ordered a limbsaver recoil pad so it will feel exactly like my t3x. This 22 is a sweet little shooter.
I've been using it for load development for 10mm for the past few days. Attached it to my tripod I use with my spotter and just started shooting. It's small size makes it so versatile.
