I got the boot. Too many facts presented on subjects the bro hunters pretend to have the first clue about will get you banned. MT Mule Deer Age data accuracy and reality
I remember in about 1998 I shot my 50th deer in Montana, probably shot another 20 or so since then. My family has shot a bunch as well, guessing another 150-200 between them. Only "ages" we've gotten were from the ones that went through the check station when it was open, and those ages are... -

As much as that guy is full of crap regarding the regulations, with the decision-making process in Montana regarding game wildlife management these days, it doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling turning over grizzly bear management to them. Montana General Season Structure Proposal
If anything, it will force people to make decision on where they spend their vacation time. I know in Wyoming that's exactly what happens, people either choose to blow a week hunting deer, or they spend a week hunting elk, not many do both. Even if they do hunt both, it's only a week for each... -

IMO/E, the commissioners should just be handed a rubber stamp for the most part when they're sworn in. They either do the bidding of the Department or the Governor's office. I agree that one of the big problems is that many times commissioners do not understand the issues. It would be like me... -

Depends on the state, but specific to Montana, the only thing that's better than when I started hunting is turkeys and elk on private land. Everything else is significantly worse. Edit: wolf, maybe lion hunting as well. -
