    Big ol Burban?

Back a page or so there was some talk of tire size for the Burban. Not sure if you have a lift or how much clearance you have, or gears for that matter. If you have a 4.11 or 4.56 rear gear Coker makes a very good off road/highway 900x16. Lots of ground clearance, I ran them on an old Dodge...

ISO new front leaf springs for 1971 Dodge W200 4x4

Thank you for the responses! I am not good with this puter stuff so will have to make some phone calls in a week or so, more pressing issues to deal with this week. Dave, if the place you mention is the one I think it is..........I have dealt with them in the past and I thought I made a...

ISO new front leaf springs for 1971 Dodge W200 4x4

Old springs are flat, 1" from rubber stop. Where can I find replacements for a soft ride. It is a ranch/hunting truck (Dodge 4x4 3/4 ton) and never hauls heavy loads so maybe a softer spring is available?

    Hunt Talkers get their bear

I have posted free Idaho hunts going back to the early 90's on the old NAHC site and others. In the last 16 years I have only had two takers, Dave N in 2007 got his bear with a ML and this year Muskeez arrowed a shinny black bear with the perfect coat ! One of the prettiest blacks I have ever...

    A wyoming legend is gone

We need more collared deer after seeing what she contributed. I have a wild whitetail doe on my ranch that has never left. She is 14 years old and has had triplets three of the last six years. I suspect by her size May 30 she had triplets again. She may be free roaming/wild, but comes when I...

    Any car salesmen here?

Dave Did you ever think about a wig and some makeup? It may have been cheaper to add your hubby "Dave's" name to the title rather than cough up $331? ;) PS....My best two bait sites loaded with goodies yesterday, each with two trial cams so we should have pictures soon. Clay and daughter at...

    AYA Over Unders………

In 1960 my Dad bought my brother and I each an AYA Matador in 16ga with a single trigger that fired the modified before the full. Never a problem, great guns.

    Favorite Elk Calibers

Being born during WWll I guess you could say I am old school. Wow, have things changed in the hunting world. I started hunting at a very young age, being taught the art by a granddad, several of his brothers all born in the 1800's and my father. In their youth they had to make every shot count...

Well, it's not good. Not religious but prayers are welcomed.

Dave, having know you and Lori for several years I cannot add more than what has been expressed in these posts. I get choked up thinking of what you are going through. Strength and peace be with you Buddy, Bill Zent

Well, it's not good. Not religious but prayers are welcomed.

Dave, What Gellar wrote are also the thoughts from this house. Dave has faithfully been there for Lori's care for two years, what a MAN. Dave was a true friend on our first handshake several years ago when he and Lori came to visit Idaho. We all had a great time and I have missed them and their...

    Suggestions for a quail gun?

If you like to miss..........get a single shot and your thinking should change. And don't think you need three shots. A bird in the hand..........

    Bear baiting question

I was referring to the OP's question of getting scent in trees. Dave, I may look dumb, but that is camouflage so people don't waste my time picking my brain. :) Red Fox and TheTone, Not only do I put lots of grease around the barrel for the bear to spread around the mountains I do one...

    Bear baiting question

Way back in my younger days............I built a fire under a Ponderosa, cooked bacon and trout for lunch when I baited. Then added that grease to deep fryer grease from a Chinese cafe, some honey, and other good smelling stuff with water in a big coffee can and boil. The steam will transfer all...

    Moose and game bags

The question of what type of bags to use depends on the hunt. A mediocre bag may suffice if you drive to your camp and will load meat in your truck. A long float trip of handling bagged meat daily or dragging them in and out of a super cub having good bags is a must. The same with packing on...
