Yes, there are people that do so but they are in the minority. I’ve lost several family members that went that route over traditional medicine. I am all for clean eating but it is not a miracle cure for all that ails.
Trail cam. We have kits on our property every year. A few times I’ve put out a trail cam and laughed my arse off at some of the 2:00am wrasslin pictures we get of the youngsters.
Just glue them in. After they’re set you can use an arrow truing device to barely sand the end of the arrow. Usually doesn’t take much to get the right clock position.
I would shoot whatever you’re comfortable with on a treed cat. It doesn’t take much to kill most cats, so smaller calibers are fine. I used a 7mm08 because it’s what I had ready to go (and because I’m a loyal HTer).

Looks like you and yours have had some great times out there. Appreciate the suggestions -especially the ranger workbook. My boys love that type of activity.
