Grouse! Let’s See Them
Took the youngest boy out deer hunting. We walked down a old logging road never seen a deer but jumped alot of grouse. The poor pup was in grouse heaven except we where not hunting them. Howa Alpine/Kuiu 308 bullet preference?
Mine likes the federal power shock 150 for factory loads. I shot core lokt also out of it and it did ok. -

Any Weatherby fans here?
We have been a fan for awhile got get 2 300wsm 2 223 1 243 1 308 all shoot pretty good. Wish they still made it in the 300wsm would pick up a couple for my boys. -

Mountain Whitefish - wont' bite?
We use to fish for them in the winter use a little fly made out of peacock hearl with a couple maggots on it . Would use a slip bobber setup and try and drift through holes setting the depth so was just bouncing bottom with a sinker a couple inches below the fly.- LMD423

Youth Recoil (at a minimum) Rifle for big game
I got two boys one is eleven and he has a 308 youth howa. He shoots it good we use hornady light ammunition in it 125 grain sst bullets. I want to say he weighs about 80 pounds. My other son is 7 and he shoots it also i was hesitant on letting him shoot it but the recoil doesnt bother him. he... -

Premium Tag: How many days would you spend hunting?
We have drawn a couple special tags in the past. From our experience . We took off as much time from work that we could get anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 weeks off in a season . We hunted as much as we could afford money wise. We usually hunt 4 days hard then take a day to recover and get back into... -
