    Any hockey fans out there?

I was glad to see that William Nylander finally scored a goal and helped the Leafs force a game 7. That will be quite the game to watch.

    Jeep as a hunting/fishing/camping rig

This is my Jeep Patriot with the FD-II 4x4 package. It’s Trail Rated but has more storage space and gets better gas mileage than the Wrangler. It makes a great hunting rig, but unfortunately Jeep stopped making the Patriot in 2017 and didn’t replace it with anything as good.

    Punk Rock Hunt Talkers

Sandinista! You guys are young, naming the bands my kids listened to. I was more of an Iggy-Sex Pistols-Clash-Pogues kind of guy. To me, Green Day is a “new” band.

    Any hockey fans out there?

Nothing like being old enough to remember when Rod Brind’Amour, Patrick Roy, Rick Tocchet, etc. were rookie players, not coaches.

    Any hockey fans out there?

Crazy game tonight in Winnipeg. I still loathe the Avalanche so I was glad to see it. Interesting that all the home teams have won game 1s (so far, waiting to see on Vancouver-Nashville). My Red Wings didn’t make it so I’m hoping a Canadian team can get to the finals.

    Any hockey fans out there?

Waiting to see if my Red Wings can sneak into the playoffs with back-to-back wins against the Habs.

    Journaling

When I’m on a multiday hunt, I carry a journal and write in it to help pass the time, especially in the slow parts or the middle of the day. It’s a way to chronicle my adventures, and it helps me remember some of the special non-hunting experiences like hearing music from a sunset church service...

    What are you currently reading?

I have a thing about finding obscure, little-known battles to read about. Anyone can be an expert on Gettysburg or Normandy or Waterloo; how much do you know about the Falklands or the China-Burma-India theater? So now I’m reading this, and it’s really good:

Boot Rebuild Vs. New & Fit Thoughts

I agree on insoles; it sounds like the OP needs to look there rather than at the uppers or outsole. Insoles are the easiest and cheapest part of a boot to address, and in many cases can make the biggest impact. I’d suggest talking to a cobbler (not a boot salesperson) about what your best...

Rose Anvil and Trenton & Heath have turned me into a boot snob.

FS: Size 13 boots and size 10 boots

I have two sets of hunting/hiking/outdoors boots in good shape up for sale. 1. Full grain leather Rocky Ironclad soft toe boots, size 13. Tag says 13m but they fit a wider foot (wider than mine, anyway). Waterproof and in good shape. The sole is solid. I have cleaned and conditioned the...

    Lever Monday...post em up

My son’s Browning BL-22, which he inherited from his great-uncle. I’ve been told it’s one of the best lever .22s made. His great-uncle passed away when my son was a pre-teen and had just seen “True Grit.” He picked out the Browning specifically because it looked like a cowboy gun.
