Help trying to match a powder from the 1960s
I have load data provided to my father from Nosler in ~ 1960 for the 300 H&H. They recomended 66 gr 4350 behind a 180 Nosler partition. It's been the go to for 65 years now. I did chronograph this load a few years back and it averaged 3130 fps through a pre 64 model 70 with a 26" barrel.- Wally Dog

What kinda calls
I've hunted the bird in ID, WA & OR since 1983. My 3 go to's are a Roberts Bros glass over slate pot call, a 1983 Quaker Boy grand old master box and 2 mouth calls, one raspy (Heart of Dixie call) and 1 straight triple (Quaker boy true triple). 9 out of 10 times these will work, if not I go to...- Wally Dog

Upland 20 gauge recommendations
I have a fist ful of 20's, OU's, semi auto's. Browwning A5, Beretta A400, Citori, but recently I keep grabbing my Franchi Affinity. Fits me well and performs nicely.- Wally Dog

Old scopes... that work
Ben, I too have a couple of Balvar 8's. One on a Pre 64 Model 70 chambered 300 H&H. Kuharsky Bros mounts..........I really like those tapered crosshairs too. I really don't why the notion of the adjustable mounts and a fixed scope didn't stick. The concept is so simple and I have tested many... -
how much do you spend on a round of trap/skeet?
A small group of us built a private skeet club starting in 1990. Thru the years we have built into 2 skeet fields with Beomat machines, a 5 stand set up, a nice clubhouse, a well that enables us to have lush green grass on the infields and around the clubhouse.
