    I heard this coming, a war on all predators with a 40% reduction being the goal. I will comment against the increased quota proposals, but I believe this came from GG and will likely get implemented one way or another. It is going to be along three years.

    Thank you for the heads up and template. I submitted my comment in opposition of the proposal. I suggested that if the biologists think a late season bull hunt is appropriate that it be a limited entry muzzleloader hunt with a limited number of permits.

    RMyoung is correct on the odd provision of having to be 1 year old. I think you can get them an ALS # prior to being 1 but cannot apply for points. My twins turn four this week and are ALS 1&2. The cost of points add up especially since as stated above they may have zero interest in hunting...

    MThunter - It will walk you through process on the FWP website and you are linked to the license with your id. My 4 year olds both have MT elk points.

    I do not know the situation but buck rut has some good points. I would also recommend a live trap. Your close up picture shows a deer stop, I would be willing to bet this does not allow the snare to close tight enough.
