Tape at the end of barrel?

not tough enough, and can come off easily. The friction from the elasticity of the latex isn't enough. I've seen people take the finger from a latex glove onto the barrel. At that point, just put the tape on there and call it good.

    Currently have 9 Wyoming points

I think you can make it happen in most units. You just have to adapt. If you have less contiguous public land, you're going to drive a lot and have to catch animals in the right spot. If you have a giant piece of public, you can set up a camp and hike around for your 'back country' hunt. I...

    elk unit 13 wyoming

I am not looking into guides at all. It is sounding like there's plenty of elk in the region (13, 15, 21). Already wearing out the hills and stairs in my area to prepare 😓

    elk unit 13 wyoming

Totally understand that the elk don't have an altimeter, just looking for general guidance on whether they tend to be high enough to be un-hunt-able for us NR, due to the wilderness

Minnesota's Proposed "Assault Weapon" Bans (2024)

It isn't difficult to understand that perspective. Right or wrong, the anti 2A side of the debate has chosen the AR platform to villainize. The poster's theory is that they wouldn't have a 'boogey man' to point to, if there were no AR pattern rifles. I think that is a flawed approach, as they...

Is rock climbing compatible with Wilderness designation

At least in MN, they are banned. Stands and cams can’t be up overnight.

Are you saying it’s typical to find them there in-season?

    elk unit 13 wyoming

Reviving this thread vs making one of my own. Drew a Southern region tag for 2024 and considering 13. The stock GoHunt blurb someone posted mentions the Wilderness. It appears that it is relatively small, and a lot of it is 9k+ in elevation. My understanding is that the elk will not be >9k ft...

Is rock climbing compatible with Wilderness designation

I understand that the restrictions make it harder for them to enjoy their activity, but that is kind of the nature of restrictions. While they are drawing a hard line, I understand the perspective that permanent damage, although small, to a resource should not be taken lightly.

Minnesota's Proposed "Assault Weapon" Bans (2024)

It isn't that they will go door-to-door and search every home. If you fail to register, you now have the skeleton in your closet forever. You'll be stopped by a game warden, or have some other routine LE interaction and it is discovered that you have an unregistered firearm.

    WY draw results elk 2024

That was my prediction. I went into the special draw for S with zero points and succeeded

    WY Price Hike Implications

Now that we have the results, it looks like there were some behavior changes in the general non-res regions. It's a 1-point trend, but interesting to see how all of our predictions played out.

    Wyoming "Random" Elk Draw

You get an email that contains a link to your results. You click it, takes you directly to the results without logging in. Here is what mine looked like for the South non-res region. If you missed the email (got deleted or Spam filtered), you can find it on your WY dashboard once logged in
